Geoffrey Budworth is a highly successful author whose previous works, including 12 books on knots, have been published in the USA, the UK and Europe. His pioneering work with clues – involving cords, ropes and knots – found at crime scenes has led to him being dubbed the ‘Father of Forensic Knotting’. In 1982, he co-founded the International Guild of Knot Tiers, is a former president of the Guild and is a regular contributor to its quarterly magazine Knotting Matters.

Tying the most essential knots for any job you can think of is simple with this innovative approach. The steps for completing a knot are illustrated in different coloured cordage, each one flowing into the next in a series of colour photos, so you never miss a trick. Just follow along, copying what you see with your hands. Demonstrating the entire process – instead of showing only the completed knot – makes this the easiest knot book to learn from that you’ll ever come across.
